Every Wednesday and Friday evenings I train with the local track and field club. Wednesday nights however, are special. That's because we all get together afterwards for drinks (usually beer) and munchies (like nuts, chips and sweetbread). Last week, the person hosting brought with him a few cases of a light tasting beer he got in Germany. They were 50cl bottles (just shy of 17 fl oz) with a 5% alcohol content called, Hell.
This is just dying for a caption, don't you think?
Hope you all have a great weekend, and if it turns out like Hell, then consider yourself lucky and have another.
Cheers!

Hell...in a bottle.
ReplyDeleteHell...with a cap on.
LOL! :D
DeleteDon't think you want that freezing over.
ReplyDeleteOh, good point!
DeleteVery cute, Elise. You know that by doing this, everybody's going to want you to send them a case. Email me for my address! ;o)
ReplyDelete"Hell. Beer that's so good, you'd never know it was demon piss. Serve warm."
LOL! Oh, that was good, but for a minute there I thought you were describing Guinnesse. (;
Delete"Hell in a bottle - the true drinker's religious experience. After ten of these puppies and you will be praying to God."
ReplyDeleteROFL. That was hilarious! :D
DeleteThat's a nice bottle I know several would like to have here. Like 150 hahaha :)
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a party. (=
DeleteHmmm. Looks different than I remember...
ReplyDeleteLOL! xD
DeleteYou have to go through hell to get to heaven.
ReplyDeleteExcellent! :D
DeleteThat is a new one on me, but from a marketing perspective, I certainly see the advantages for those with creative talents.
ReplyDeleteYou are a trooper if you can hit the bar after a series of track and field exercises. I'd be lucky to make it up the stairs at our house if I stepped up my workouts to that intensity.
Oh, we don't hit the bars. There's a little modular office building next to the track where we get together after washing up in the locker rooms. And since we all have to drive, we're pretty reasonable with the alcohol consumption. It's actually a nice time to get together and hang out with the other runners. (:
DeleteHell- Sinfully delicious
ReplyDeleteCaution: May cause sins to multiply.
Oh I like this. Sinfully funny! xD
DeleteHi Elise .. they have some great names for beers and wines now-a-days .. at one stage I was buying wine by the name?! Enjoy the weekend with or without snacks and goodies .. cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteI sometimes buy beer or wine based on the pretty picture on the lable, lol! Have a good weekend too, Hilary. (:
DeleteHi Elise,
ReplyDeleteAh yes, that bottle certainly conjures up some thoughts. And if it had been a British beer, I might of come up with a 'bitter' comment. And speaking of Guinness, I do believe that it's burnt toast dipped in water. Definitely an acquired taste :)
I wish to thank you for your very kind and supportive comment on my site. That meant a lot. Thank you, Elise. Have a peaceful, positive weekend.
In kindness and goodwill,
Gary
Guinness, uggg. I think you have to be Irish to enjoy it. (; Thanks for stopping in and I really hope things start looking brighter for you Gary. (((Hugs))) (:
DeleteYou have to go through Hell to reach Heaven.
ReplyDeleteHA! You and Richard are on the same wave length! :D
DeleteAre you training for anything in particular, or just to stay in shape?
ReplyDeleteThat's a great name for a beer and I think a good slogan might be....
"If someone asks you for a beer....give 'em Hell!" :)
Primarily just to stay in shape. Joining a club forces me to get out of my chair, out of my house, and interact with people with flesh on them. (; However, I do sign up for trail races from time to time, though it's never about placement more than it's about finishing the race. I'm hoping to do my first half marathon sometime this spring....hopefully...
DeleteAnd you're right, next time someone comes to my house, I'm givin' em Hell! xD
That is a riot!!!
ReplyDeleteI know! You should have seen me smuggling this bottle home just so I could take the picture. :D
DeleteI guess you could just write "YES" after the Hell. But I'm not a great ad person.
ReplyDeleteHell YES! Why didn't I think of that?! :D
DeleteHell...yes it does freeze over.
ReplyDeleteLike my caption? Enjoy your weekend and thanks for the laugh.
LOL! Yes I do like your caption! :D
DeleteHA! Love this.
ReplyDeleteMe too! (:
DeleteI'm horrible at captions, but am super impressed you train with a local track and field team!
ReplyDeleteThanks Johanna. It's a great stress reliever and keeps me partially sane. (;
DeleteMaybe Hell means something different in German? It sure doesn't look like typical "hell" with that pastoral picture on the label. Well, the important thing is if you enjoyed yourself - I hope you did! :-)
ReplyDeleteGoogle translate says 'hell' means 'bright' in English. Makes more sense, but isn't quite as funny. (; And yes, the beer wasn't bad, I liked it. (:
DeleteNo caption from me, but I love this! Thanks for the laugh. :)
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome! :D
DeleteLove it. I guess something is lost in translation here. :)
ReplyDeleteLOL! But one could argue that it is "bright" in Hell.... (;
DeleteI always thought hell means 'light' in german but I won't argue with google!
ReplyDeleteIt may depend on context. And I don't think google is the best translator out there. Need to ask someone who actually speaks German, me thinks. (;
Delete"Hell hath no fury like a beer wasted"? Something like that?
ReplyDeleteTraining with the local track and field club? You go girl!
Enjoy your weekend Elise!
Hahah! AMEN to that. :D
DeleteHave a good weekend too, M.
(:
Totally not what I meant by "Give them...."
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend! :)
LOL! Thanks Don, you too. (:
Deleteheil hell...
ReplyDeleteLOL, Elise! Hope YOUR weekend is fabulous... :D
ReplyDeleteThanks Morgan, same to you!
DeleteWow. Words fail me on that beer! Like Morgan said, I hope your weekend is marvelous. Thanks for visiting my blog, Roland
ReplyDeleteMy pleasure Roland. Thanks for stopping in. (:
Delete*drops bottle*
ReplyDeleteAw, Hell. :(
Looks like all Hell broke loose... :P
DeleteYou'll certainly feel like Hell if you have more than 4 or 5! Not that I might've done that celebrating the glorification of head traumas and tight pants also known as US football last night or anything. ;-)
ReplyDeleteLOL! Miss US football.....
DeleteThat is funny! Did it taste like hell?
ReplyDeleteLOL, no, it tasted okay. It's a nice light beer. (:
DeleteSounds like a way to celebrate and remember the torture of something I'm sure you love and dread at the same time! How great to get in both at the same time.
ReplyDeleteI didn't think about it that way but you're right, it's funny getting them both in at the same time! :D
DeleteLol, funny!!
ReplyDeleteHi Cortney! :D
