Silent Sunday: France, Kittens, and Coppola

I know this is supposed to be Silent Sunday, but I have to say something about the following two pics . . .

Francis Ford Coppola--you are one of the most highly acclaimed directors, producers, and screenwriters in the film industry. Thank you for producing such films as The Godfather and Apocalypse Now.
However--For the love of all that is holy, please stop producing such crappy wine. This is one of the worst bottles of wine I've tasted in a very long time. It is truly terrible, even after letting it decant for three days. It may not even be suitable to use as vineager.  *steps down from soapbox*
That is all.
(:

  3. You would think he'd know something about wines after making the Godfather movies.
Kittens must've thought you tasted sweet.

  4. My brother has 3 of those hammocks on his terrace - the boys tried to sleep all night in them but ended up in bed! And I have one of those pink straw baskets from a French market years ago :)

  5. You have no idea how much I envy you being able to get French butter and got to French markets. Last time I had real French butter was in Martinique which is a département of France so I guess gets it shipped there, and that was years ago. We were on a cruise and they picked some up so breakfast was great for a day or two.

I will remember not to drink Coppola wines if I come across them. Kittens like cheese too do they LOL

Yay to France and your photos. Yep, even the kitties. As for wine, my human would insist on picture ID from you. Enjoy your vinegar, nonetheless. Mon dieu!

  36. Hey O Silent one,

Is that an '02 Coppola you were quaffing?

If so, *that* was probably the problem... I've drank each of the '07 - '10 (no, not in the same session - kinda:) and they were OK.

    Just sayin'

    Regards,

  38. What beautiful pictures, especially the darling kitty. Though, it was a mistake to look at the food pics. Now I'm starving:)

  39. Very nice pictures, Elise! The cat series was cute. Such an adorable face.

Look at it this way...Coppola got you to buy at least one bottle. Cost him next to nothing and he swindled you out of a few francs and tastebuds. Sucker! ;)
