Today I'm participating and co-hosting the Re-Introduce Myself blogfest! This is a chance to introduce yourself all over again to readers both new and old. I did this in the form of a video, maybe not the brightest idea, especially if this doesn't work...hope this works....
...and so sorry Mark Koopmans for totally trashing the correct spelling of your last name, lol!
But this IS my first video and . . . oops!
*facepalm*

Mina Lobo over at Some Dark Romantic thought of a really fun and easy bloghop. All you had to do was go out last night, snap a picture of the full moon, and post it today. Easy. That's why I signed up. (; Anyway, here are my pictures of a French full moon.
Enjoy, and thanks Mina!
Enjoy, and thanks Mina!

Full Moon France January 27, 2013 This is essentially the same shot as above, I just played around with the color balance in photoshop. |
Full Moon France January 28, 2013 Ok, I couldn't resist this shot while having breakfast with my kids. I'm diggin the trees in the foreground. |
Oh my gosh, I love your video. You are so pretty! And the cute little cards are awesome. No one will top this. I'm so going to tweet the heck out of this tomorrow when ppl wake up for work.
ReplyDeleteYou have a great camera presence. I didn't know that you lived in France, so now I know something about you I hadn't known before! I visited Paris years ago and loved the city very much.
ReplyDeleteWhat a clever way to introduce yourself!
For not knowing anything about videos, you did an amazing job! I didn't realize you lived in France either. Beautiful country :)
ReplyDeleteI loved your video - absolutely brilliant.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to be a Tweet Freet for Fallson, too :)
ReplyDeleteThat was BRILLIANT :)
You are taking Blogfest creativity to a new level :)
Well done, again :)
BRILLIANT video, Elise get ready for some retweets!!
ReplyDeleteLove the video, It was great meeting you in a different way. Also, brilliant pictures of the moon.
ReplyDeleteGreat video! Love the moon shots too. It was rainy here in Santander, Spain most of the day but the moon did come out late last night.
ReplyDeleteElise, that was really creative! After what you did in making Mini-Alex, I think you may have missed your calling. (Or maybe not since you are writing!)
ReplyDeleteMoon shots are awesome as well.
Pleased to meet you, a great video.
ReplyDeleteYvonne.
Thank you guys for all your positive comments. I've been really stressed out about the video, LOL! I wish I could reply to each one of your comments, but today is crazy for me. But know I do appreciate you stopping in! (:
ReplyDeleteThanks Elise for co-hosting! A most clever way of reintroducing yourself. Nicely done. And those are awesome shots of the moon.
ReplyDeleteGreat video, another string to your bow! And very atmospheric moon shots. Can't wait to hear more about the top secret project!
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately I can't see your vid, but I've been having trouble with videos lately so it's probably not your fault! I'll try and check back later. :) LOVE your moon pics. They're amazing!
ReplyDeleteWait, I'm on a new computer now & can see it. I will watch it here :)
DeleteI watched it and it was great!! Well done :)
DeleteNice to 'meet' you again, Elise. Your video turned out good from someone who didn't know how to make one. Insects. Yuck!!! That pic of the moon from Jan. 28 and the one after it are the stuff that make horror movies creepy.
ReplyDeleteI'm impressed! You didn't laugh during that whole video. I would have been cracking up. Loved your little cards. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat video, you are adorable. And your moon picture from the 26th is amazing. Nice to re-meet you :)
ReplyDeleteIt might have been a pain, but for a first try...that was stinking awesome!! Heck, I didn't even get my post up correctly...forgot to credit you, Mark, and C.M.
ReplyDeleteAnd tell them j'aime la France (got that straight from wiki translator, hope it says I love France...lol).
Wow. Now I kinda feel lazy for only doing my over a hundred blog post. You put a lot of work into that. Pretty cool!
ReplyDeleteYou are so darn cute!! LOVE!
ReplyDeleteWow! The video is great! One would swear that you've been doing this for quite a while... like a real pro!
ReplyDeleteDunno how you managed to keep the straight face...
I love the moon pics!
That was a wonderful video and you are a lovely girl. Don't know how long it took you but it was worth every pain, hahaha. Great to meet you and nice moon pics! :D
ReplyDeleteI loved your video! I was so impressed by the work you put into it - I don't know anything about making a video either, so I could imagine the learning curve. Which is a nice way of saying "pain in the ass," as you pointed out.
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting this fun hop!
Great video! How fun to introduce ourselves to someone new! Check us out at http://citymusecountrymuse2012.blogspot.com/

ReplyDeleteOh. My. Goodness. You are the cutest thing ever! I loved your video, so creative! And the pics of the moon are pretty.
ReplyDeleteWe had the snow last night so no moon. Sorry I missed that blogfest though.
ReplyDeleteI loved your video, Elise! It was so nice re-meeting you! And you had a great camera presence - I wanted more! Thanks for co-hosting! :)
ReplyDeleteWow! That was an awesome video and extremely creative. I agree that the saddest question you have to answer is the one of all Americans hating the French...it's the farthest thing from the truth.
ReplyDeleteGreat to meet you and thanks for hosting this fun hop!
A video, how unique. The moon looks so much prettier in France. I think I should come over there and see it from your perspective :D
ReplyDeletetotally awesome!
ReplyDeleteand i can never get a good moonshot... um, anyway, yours are great!
HI, Elise,
ReplyDeleteWhat a terrific and fun way to re-introduce yourself. So much was said about your playful personality and your facial expressions are amazing.
You did an an AWESOME job...
And.... don't worry about your novel taking three years. It will be done. I am still re-writing my first from FOUR years ago... There is no time limit on our craft. The most important thing is to create the perfect story for YOU. If YOU LOVE it the readers will feel that LOVE and LOVE it too!
Hi Elise! That was really cute. I took over three years to write my first book too! Don't worry about the time it takes, just the product you end up with!! That's so cool that you live in France!! I'm envious. :)
ReplyDeleteLoved your video. Cool that you live in France. I'd love to live in Paris. You got great moon shots!
ReplyDeleteWow, that was great! It's nice to meet you, Elise! I totally want to go to France! I had no idea French people think Americans hate them. That is sad, but great that you can crush some of the misconceptions about us. Keep going on your novel! It took me 4yrs to crank out the final draft of my upcoming bppl. I wish you loads of luck and can't wait to learn more about you and your buggy love. :)
ReplyDeleteOh my, Elise! You are so absolutely adorable. I loved this video.
ReplyDeleteOh, very cute. You're brave to put yourself out there like that. I'm awkward. Totally would be paranoid everybody would find out.
ReplyDeleteHi Elise .. that was brilliant - loved it .. now for one of you re-introducing yourself in French, then Italian ... and then l'Americain?!
ReplyDeleteFabulously well done .. and the resolution was fine -
Happy times ahead making many more I hope - cheers Hilary
OMG!!!! That was so CUTE and creative!!!! As are you! If we were to ever meet in real life I would never be able to speak to you. I'd be a total Raj Koothrappali from BIG BANG THEORY! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for co-hosting this awesome blogfest!!
Great video, Elise. I love your charm, the little signs. You've won me over as a long-time fan. It might be the warm brown eyes, or the fact that you like 'insects'.
ReplyDeleteYou didn't say where in the States you are from, though. I'm an expat living in Canada, so just wonderin'. Lucky you to be living in France!
Hello again.

What a great idea to do a video! I'm so impressed and it was fun to watch! One of my dear friends is French and I hope to visit there some day, how interesting that you live there.
ReplyDeleteLove the moon shots too, I'm really enjoying hopping around and seeing everyone's moon photos, very cool.
Thanks for co-hosting this fest! :)
Lovely! A super Re-Introduction to you.
ReplyDeleteThat was the coolest little video! Great job! I hadn't realized you were living in France. That's probably a neat experience. (And don't worry, it took me three years to write my book, too!)
ReplyDeleteThank you all for your awesome comments. I was so nervous when this video went live and I've been on pins and needles since. But you guys have been great, thanks again for the lovely comments and hopefully I was able to get around to all your blogs. This was a lot of fun and a great blogfest idea, thank you Stephen! (:
ReplyDeleteI had a captivating time watching you introduce yourself, excellent stuff.

I did like the video. You did very well! With all your facial expressions, I'm sure you could make it as an actor. It's great to know more about you. Cool moon pictures. That's another thing I could have added on my post...I love the full moon!
ReplyDeleteThat was so awesome! I was giggling and smiling the whole time...until the thing about Americans hating the French. That made me cry. If you can do that with words, you must be one helluva a writer!
ReplyDeleteVery cute video. Being descended from French immigrants, I never hated the French. I thought that was silly. Love your moon photos, too.
ReplyDeleteThat was a fun and adorable video. I loved it. What a great idea. And what a fun blogfest. I have really enjoyed hopping around to everyone's blogs to re-meet them. Great to meet you :)
ReplyDeleteLove the moon shots, but my little netbook that I'm on ATM doesn't have a big enough brain to play video. Sorry. So I didn't learn enough about you!
ReplyDeleteHow freakin' cute was that! At the risk of sounding like an old lady, I just want to pinch your cheeks. Thanks for sharing and for hosting this fun bloghop. I think it fascinating your field of expertise. Now about my spider problem.....
ReplyDeleteHeh. Very cool moon pictures.
Now why didn't I think of doing an intro video. Great idea. You have much stage presence.
ReplyDeleteDwight
I also love your choice of music. Perfect.
DeleteThat's an awesome, fun video!!! I really liked it. I think it will be easy to remember that you like insects, live in France, and have to field all sorts of odd questions about Americans.
ReplyDeleteI think you did a great job with the video, Elise. :D
ReplyDeleteI'm hiring you if I ever do a Hollywood style movie-book trailer.
I LOVE love love you and your video. It's so cute. And I can't wait to finally get my hands on your MS and what's this top secret thing? ;)
ReplyDeleteInteresting video. Not bad at all for a first one. I've got over 100 now, mostly my videos and photos backed with music for use on my blogs.
ReplyDeleteblog: http://exit78.com
Hi Elise! How's it goin? Just loving this blogfest - so much fun "re-meeting" everyone, including your good self!
ReplyDeleteHow stinkin' cute are you! I love this. Great job! :)
ReplyDeleteP.S. Hooray for NA novels!
OMG! That was so amazing! I loved the facial expressions too! And wow to living in France for tens years! I've never even been outside of the US. :( Thanks for hosting the 'fest!
ReplyDeleteDude, you iron?
ReplyDelete;-)
Adorable video featuring a beautiful lady. And your moon pics made me go all swoony. LOVE! So glad you participated in my hop!
LOVED the video!
ReplyDeleteLoved the video! And the eyeroll when you called yourself a writer. Hey, three years is not that long. Took me ten to write my fantasy. And I have just the first book out. ;) Very nice to meet you, hope you'll drop by my blog! www.caledonialass.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteElise, your video is utterly charming. That alone is worth the price of admission for the blogfest! I almost exploded with envy when you said via those adorable little signs that you've been living in France for the past 10 years. And, hey, there's no shame whatsoever in taking three years to write a novel. It takes the time it takes.
ReplyDeleteWow Elise, great work with the video. Very creative.
ReplyDeleteI used to hangout with entomologists when I was a consultant and grant writer. They were very entertaining; plus my older son liked to go on field trips with them because he is interested in creepy crawlies as well.
Salmdunk is right: you were very creative, and it was worth all the pain and effort. Good luck on your secret project!
ReplyDeletei loved the video! watched the entire thing...and it is true, your a cutie, sweetie, and totally funny in your own way. i think your knowledge of insects could be used...storyline baby!!! also, maybe a kids book...fun! p.s. i don't hate the french...besides, then i'd have to stop french kissing and my hubby would be very very unhappy...ha!
ReplyDeleteAdorable video. Some of us Americans not only don't hate France, but wish sometimes we could move there, too. I fondly remember my trip to Paris and Versailles 10 years ago and hope I can go back soon.
ReplyDeleteI feel your pain with the novel taking too long... my last one was supposed to be quick, and instead it took 3 and a half years.
Looks like this may post as anonymous, so here's a link to my blog just in case: darylnash.com
Ha ha, that video was unique, and very cool. *smiles*
ReplyDeleteLovely Moon pictures Elise. Very nice to have met you :)
......dhole
Loved the video! You're very talented.
ReplyDelete(And don't fret. I always want to throw an extra M in Mark's name, too. ;)
The moon pics are totally cool. :)
Hey now,
DeleteLet's leave Mark's missing "M" out of it :)
Tres bon!!
ReplyDeleteWOnderful job on your first vlog! Very clever. And a lovely moon over France. Must be amazing to live there. I'm an American who adores France. I've been to Paris, Toulouse, Biarritz, Lourdes, etc. And hopefully will get to Marseille and Nice someday. My YA I just wrote has quite a bit of French culture as well. French cuisine is the best IMO. Viva la France! :D
Well, that was pretty brilliant.. Great job
ReplyDeleteOkay, it was clever ... but tough for a dyslexic to get through!
ReplyDeleteMichael was right; that was a great video!
ReplyDeleteI spent two summers (and other breaks) working for an entomologist when I was in college.
GREAT video! It might have been a pain in the derriere to make, but it looked like you were having a lot of fun with it, too. Love your pics of the moon, too. Very atmospheric.
ReplyDeleteNice to meetcha! Au revoir.
Awesome job on the video! You have great stage presence!
ReplyDeleteVery cute and clever video! It took great timing and dexterity to pull off! Looking forward to seeing more videos of you, and maybe Mini-Alex could make a guest appearance. Great shots of the moon too.
ReplyDeleteJulie
LOVE this! Plus, it's a great way to see you again. Can't wait to find out about the secret project and to see your NA book in print. Fun blogfest!
ReplyDeleteOkay that video was way too cute :D
ReplyDeleteI love the moon pics too! Thanks for such a fun bloghop!
I love those pictures of the moon, especially the ones with the clouds and the trees :) Thanks for stopping by my blog!
ReplyDeleteWhat does one say following 92 other comments? Truth? I think that's best. I think you are the female version of Dorian Grey - you look about 25 - 28! And lovely skin to boot!
ReplyDeleteYes, way too 'cute' for your own good, madam. Buuut, great video for first time. I have totally failed this thing as I didn't post mine 'stuff' for this blogfest, mainly due to outside issues in RL, but I will rectify that and post the shizzle on the dizzle for the sake of the fizzle (wtf that means, I just don't know, but it sounds good... and hip... like I'm from the street, I think?).
Very clever, well constructed and thought-out re-meet. You even have tidy writing, damn you!
That was cute and funny! And different. LOL at the study of words. You get that a lot? Love the moon pics! Especially the last two, with the trees then all of the clouds.
ReplyDeleteShannon at The Warrior Muse

ReplyDeleteThe absolute best moment of my week! LOVED THAT VIDEO! ELISE!!!! YOU ROCK!
