Uh oh... has the Inner Critic been at it again? *sighs* This would make a great IWSG post...
ReplyDeleteThat's what I feel about with writing! But I haven't written anything in a long time. I just don't have the time. I think I enjoy the daydreaming more than the actual writing.
ReplyDeleteDid you draw this?
Lol, lol, lol, lol.
ReplyDeleteYep. That sounds about right to me.
ReplyDeleteMichelle: You know I thought about using this for IWSG before posting. But I'm hoping by then I'll be in better spirits. The closer I get to finishing, the louder my inner critic. I still may refer to this post on Wednesday, we'll see. (:
ReplyDeleteKamille: I enjoy the daydreaming part too, though even that can be frustrating for me at times. And yes, I did draw these. I start out with a paper sketch and then scan it into photoshop to clean it up and do some filling in. I'm not any good at drawing, my Dad's the artist in the family. But, sometimes it's easier to get stuff off my chest this way.
Sara: (-:
Frost: glad you liked it! (=
M.J: Writers. We're a bit crazy around the edges, aren't we? (:
i write cuz it's in me... and wants OUT! :P
ReplyDelete"I'm going to need a pen name for my pen name."
ReplyDeleteHa! ROFL xD I love this post!!! :D
^I was going to say the same thing. Hilariously funny, Elise!
DeleteSome Dark Romantic
I found you on Julie's blog. Just wanted to say hello- new follower here and I'm looking forward to reading more of your posts- this one was a lot of fun!
ReplyDeleteOh I hear you loud and clear. When I told my brother how much I made in royalties thus far his response was, "That's it?" And I was like, "Hey that's a ton more than I thought it was going to be," and then he responded that it was better than the interest on his money market account.
ReplyDeleteMeh. People who don't write don't understand. We don't do it to be rich or anything. It's a need.
Love this, Elise. Needing a pen name for her pen name was lol funny. Yep, writing does make us miserable when we can't get it just right, but can we do without it? Nah!
ReplyDeletelawolf: Awesome. I know how you feel! :D
ReplyDeleteMelissa: Sadly, I really do feel like this sometimes! (;
Summer: Welcome and thanks for commenting! I just got back from your site (which is awesome)and I'm now a new follower of yours too. (:
Michael: You're right. People who don't write don't understand and that can be so damn frustrating. If I ever get my book published I know I'll get the same kind of response your brother gave you. And that's assuming I'll actually get published, and we all know the saying about assumptions... :/
J.L.: I'm afraid we writers can't do without it either. We love torturing ourselves too much. (; Glad you liked the post.
LOL. Hilarious!

DeleteNot fit to hold a crayon - funny!
ReplyDeleteLol. I think we're all sadomasochists, pretty much
ReplyDeleteAlex: Thanks for stopping by Alex and glad you liked it. (:
ReplyDeleteNick: Haha! I agree, sadomasochists for sure. :D
LOL! A pen name for your pen name?! You crack me up, lady! I am super sorry you feel this way about your writing sometimes, but I am glad you torture yourself anyway...how else would I have met you?!
ReplyDeleteHead up, lady. You can do it!
Thanks Sabrina! Glad we met too!!(:
DeleteGosh, the notion of getting paid for creativiy is alien. Nowadays markets expect you to give it away for free.
ReplyDeleteLove it! haha.
ReplyDeleteToo true! LOL Thanks for sharing, Elise! :)
ReplyDeleteMovies on my Mind: o_O That's not completely true. I'm sure they'd want it all for free.
ReplyDeleteJessica: Glad you liked it! :D
Carrie: You're welcome Carrie! :)))
