The Unofficial Got Green Blogfest Post

**************************************

I've been nagging my writer for weeks! Pleading with her to let me join Mark's Got Green Blogfest. I told her it didn't need to be complicated. All she'd have to do is whip me up a cute little green outfit, throw in an Irish joke, and maybe add a four-leaf clover somewhere. You know I've looked all my life, but I've never found a real four-leaf clover before. ): Sadly, the writer couldn't give two flips, she just kept mumbling stuff like, "Have to finish my edits . . . have to finish A-Z posts . . . I'm French/Italian . . ." bla, bla, bla. But whatever. I never gave up and just kept wearing her down, determined to get my four-leaf clover and green dress.

Finally, she gave in and this is what she came up with:

B****
Worst. St. Paddy's Drawing. Ever.

Happy Friday and an Early Happy St. Paddy's Day to all you crazy green beer chugging, Lucky Charms eating, green clothes sporting folks!
>:D

  1. I've never found a four leaf clover either. I'm beginning to suspect they aren't real. Leprechauns on the other hand I see all the time.

  2. Poor girl.

Never found a four leaf clover? I've found dozens. I don't think they really help.

  3. Brilliant - happy early St. Patrick's Day, any excuse for a party!

  4. HA! That's an amazing dress :)

PS... weirdest place I ever found a four-leaved Shamrock (aka Clover) was in our backyard... (oh, that's boring... you were born in Oireland... but wait!!!

This backyard was in San Antonio, Texas...

    Weird, huh :)

    Thanks for *not* participating :)

  6. LOL! Have a couple drinks and you won't even care about the clover outfit.

    Back in the 80's, I had a green rat-tail.

  7. ROFL! Elise, you're a riot! Thanks for the laughs and the good wishes. Good luck on your edits and A-Z blog posts. :-)

  8. BAhahhahahah! Is she giving us the bird? Bahahahaha! Hilarious. :)

  9. Mood: First, what are you drinking? Second, can I have some? (;

    Sheena-kay: Thanks! :D

    Alex: xD

    Sara: ROFL! :D

Sally: I'll drink to that! Have a good one. :D

Mark: Oh, that is funny. I used to pull apart clovers and stick one leaf to a three-leaf clover and pretend it was a bonafide lucky shamrock. I didn't fool anyone.

Hilary: Thanks Hilary. Unfortunately, no one celebrates Paddy's day here, but I may put food coloring in my beer and drink a few green glasses anyway. (:

Diane: You don't have to tell me twice! Cheers! And I would love to see pics of your green rat-tail, LOL!

Lexa: Thanks hon, glad you got a kick out of this. :D

Mina: Actually, she's giving me the bird, and since she is actually a figment of my imagination, it's kinda like me giving myself the bird, LOL!

  11. Isn't that the most sexy clover girl I've seen? I think she is!

  12. Hahaha - love it! :D

Four-leaf clovers DO exist. I used to collect them as a child. I pressed them between the pages of a telephone book, then glued them to the pages of a notebook. I had a collection numbering in the 70's before I gave it up. It never brought me any luck, though. Not 70+ clover's worth, anyway. ;)

  16. Matthew: Santé!

Al: Green makes everyone sexy, lol!

    Elizabeth: Thanks, hon! :D

Melissa: Wow! Looks like you either find a ton of these clovers or nothing. I'm wondering if I can plant them, hummm, that may be the only way for me to "find" one.

Mark: Any time. (: And a Happy St. Patrick's day to you too!

    Randi: xD

Johanna: 'Cranky' is the perfect description, lol! Hahah

Melissa: Heheeh, and a Happy St. Pat's day to you too! :D

  17. What a lovely shade of green you chose. It's definitely better than the color they chose to paint Mila Kunis' face in "Oz the Great and Powerful."

  18. Hey, I'm loving that four leaf clover dress! :) If I wore something like that in this town, I wouldn't get a second look. Okay, maybe a third and fourth look...

Ah yes, St. Patrick's Day. Great stuff! This means my Irish neighbour can get even drunker than normal and when he talks to me, it will be even more difficult to understand him. Just hope I nod my head at the right times. Top of the morning to you!

Very clever and funny, Elise. I'm going to try and bring further awareness of St. George's Day. So underrated. I'm mean the dude went and sleighed a dragon. And no, my comment isn't going to 'dragon' :)

    Enjoy the weekend.

    Gary :)

  20. Me either, Elise, I've never found a 4 leaf clover!!! So glad to know I'm not the only one. :D

  21. lol... top o'the marnin to ye, colleen ;)

to hell with yucky green beer, i sez... used to drink meself silly on em, uni days - now, only bushmills and/or jamesons will do... ok, some baileys to start with...then settle it all down with a case o'guinness :O

as for 4-leaf clovers, found many dozens as a child... don't get down that far no more, to hunt, what with with creaky bones n all... no, falling down drunk is no option for looking... been there, done that - so boring!

  22. I've found quite a few four-leaf clovers in my life. I can't say that they brought me any luck. If they did, it was a quiet kind of luck.

  23. I love the greenery! You got your way at the end of it all...
Green beer? LOL. Very stylish outfit.
    Funny, and cute Elise! :)

  24. Michael: I knew you would like that color. :P

Gary: I think the only chance I could understand your neighbor is if I had a few green beers myself, lol! Have a great weekend and enjoy the sun. (:

Mina: Both! And it gets pretty crazy in here, lol!

    Celeste: Oh good, there are at least two of us! (: If I find one, we can split it . Oh, wait . . . (;

Lawolf: Guinness, uggg can't do it. I'd rather have the Jameson. :P

Richard: I'm hearing a lot of people who have found four-leaf clovers. I'd settle for any kind of luck right now, quiet or loud. (:

    Michelle: Thanks hon! (:
