This morning during breakfast my kids and I were looking out the window. The sun was starting to come up and they asked me what star that was in the sky. I wasn't sure. I told them I think it's actually the planet Venus, the morning star, but I'm not sure. Can anyone confirm that by chance?
The eastern sky at around 7:30am, November 30th. |
Also, Mina Lobo over at Some Dark Romantic is conducting a poll to see what days of the week you guys are most likely to be catching up on your blog reading. It's real quick so hop on over and vote, if you get the chance.
Oh and one more thing!
Happy Friday everyone, and have a great weekend!
(:
No idea on the star.
ReplyDeleteI always try to stay on top of my blog reading, and the busiest day is Monday.
Fridays, for sure :)
ReplyDeleteDon't quite know about the star...
Oh, man, I hear conversations like that. Scary how close to home it hits.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a convo my kids would have. LOL!
ReplyDeletePlayed the Zedd song again. I'm heading to buy it on iTunes now. Great tune. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm going with planet. Or satellite. :)
ReplyDeleteThat be Venus. Have an awesome weekend! :)
ReplyDeleteAlex: I've noticed Mondays are pretty crazy.
ReplyDeleteRandi: Hi Randi, Friday is good day for blogging and of course it's almost the weekend! :D Thanks for stopping in.

Mina: Kids are great, and so is Zedd! Love this tune too.
Stina: Sounds good to me! (:
David: Thanks David! (:
How funny. My husband and I were looking up at the stars last night, and were pretty sure the brightest one was Venus.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the morning laugh:)
Have a great weekend!
I don't know about the star. I do know that I could see Jupiter from my house on the night of the full moon but only because a much smarter friend told me so.
ReplyDeleteI love the Baby Blues comic. I did break my right wrist once and it didn't get me out of any of my math homework. I was very disappointed.
Wednesdays for me! I'm not sure about the star, though I believe it's a planet. I just don't know which one :P
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
Its fun to see life through the eyes of kids hahaha!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing that lovely sunrise, Elise. Have a great weekend. :)
ReplyDeletehappy friday, i don't know about the picture and if it's a planet or not, but i DO know it's beautiful!

Hi Elise - it is Venus - the star that appears before sunrise heralding the coming of the morn ... it always stands out so clearly doesn't it.
ReplyDeleteI read when I'm free to read .. varies ... everyday .. cheers Hilary
Hey everyone, thanks for stopping in. Hope your weekend is a good one. Can you believe it's already December! :O
ReplyDeleteand you, el... :)
Deleteaccording to mayan myth, we're all doomed in another 3 weeks... so... rip it while you can, everyone! ;)
At least you and your children are awake and observant at that time of the morning.
ReplyDeleteI work mostly weekends, so Mondays are the biggest day for me, although I try to keep up with it daily--at least M-F. Since I post on Wednesdays, too, Wed. afternoon through Thurs. is another peak time.
ReplyDeleteRichard: Thanks Richard. My kids are early birds, but also take the bus to go to school, so we're up pretty early every morning.
ReplyDeleteMelissa: I try to keep up daily but Fridays are crazy for me.
I'm guessing Venus too for the planet/star.
ReplyDeleteI just finished a book that was heavily influenced by outer space... did a lot of research but I have no idea what star that is :) Very pretty picture though!
ReplyDeleteCherie: Seems to be the consensus. Venus it is! (:
ReplyDeleteKelley: I do enjoy the research part when starting a new project. (:
I would agree that it's Venus! Though I'm not sure how things look on the other side of the world! ;-)
ReplyDeleteThen you must come over and see for yourself! (:
DeleteI really must get the hang of all this bloggin business I'm just sort of bumbling away not really knowing what's going on at the moment!
ReplyDeleteLet me let you in on a little secret...I haven't the foggiest idea what the hell I'm doing either, D and I suspect most people don't either, lol! At least that's what I tell myself. (; Just remember it's your blog and you're the master of your spot on the internet. And I must add that I do enjoy your posts, so just continue posting what interests you and enjoy it. :)
DeleteI think it's Venus, too. And thanks for pimping my poll! Uh...you know what I mean...
